Wed 02 Feb, 2011 // Tartan SilkTartan Silk Public Relations has appointed five brand ambassadors to take the company forward in Scotland and America.
The move is part of a wider growth strategy at the Edinburgh agency, which has undergone several fundamental changes since the turn of the year.
Each ambassador has enjoyed close links with Tartan Silk over many years. They include Catriona Monro, who will cover the Highland and Grampian regions, and Perthshire businessman Michael Beamish, who is well-known in the whisky industry.
Former secretary to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Andrew Kerr and Brigadier Melville Jameson, past producer of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, will represent the business in the Edinburgh area.
The US ambassador is Alan Bain, the President Emeritus of the American Scottish Foundation and a director of Harris Tweed Textiles.
Tartan Silk’s Managing Director Martin Hunt said: “The launch of our ambassador programme is an exciting development, particularly in the current climate, and I am delighted that these influential business associates have so readily accepted the opportunity to represent us as Brand Ambassadors.”
The agency’s Business Development Director Jeremy Bone added: “This new initiative mirrors changes in Tartan Silk’s whole ethos that have been implemented over the past few weeks.
“We now offer a range of tailored PR packages based on the elements – air, earth, water and fire – designed to suit every business requirement. We also offer a comprehensive, dedicated copywriting service for clients in every area of business.”
