Fri 03 Aug, 2012 // Emma BainMontrose Society got some fantastic coverage in the Courier at the end of July!
The chairman of the First Marquis of Montose Society, Malcom McVittie, gave the first of a trio of talks on the Marquis, a figure who still divides historical opinion centuries after his death. This year is the 400th anniversary of the year of the birth of one of Scotland's most charismatic and romantic heroes. To celebrate the life of James Graham the First Marquis, the Montrose Society are holding a festival which starts on the 14th of July and shall run up until the 22nd of September. Deffinitely one not to miss!
